“Bright Futures”: A Comparative Survey Study of Higher Education Student Mobilities

Abstract

A multi-sited survey of students enrolled in tertiary education in China, Japan, Germany and the UK. With a sample size of about 9000, the survey implemented a structured sampling approach, based on university ranking and size, and in China it was additionally stratified by provinces, taking into consideration the geographic inequalities in access to education.
