Research area: Law Language: German In addition to legal texts (e.g., Aichberger; Nipperdey; Sartorius; and Schönfelder), Beck-online contains a large array of other essential standard reference works on law from the Beck publishing company in Munich, Germany. They encompass commentaries (e.g., Schönke & Schröder; Staudinger; criminal code; Schoch, Schmidt-Aßmann, & Pietzner; Rules of the Administrative Courts [VwGO]), manuals (e.g., Fritz; Hannemann; and Langenfeld), and journals (e.g., Neue Juristische Wochenschrift). Beck-online also contains current court rulings and a few compilations of forms. A personal user account can be set up to administer located documents. -

Research area: Law Language: German Period: 1880 - 1944/45 The database has all the law reports documenting the decisions of the Supreme Court of the German Reich in Civil Cases (RGZ) from 1880 to 1945. The compilation contains 172 volumes (approximately 91,000 pages) covering 15,000 rulings. The decisions of the Supreme Court of the German Reich in Criminal Cases (RGSt) encompasses the period from 1880 through 1944. This latter collection consists of 77 volumes (about 39,000 pages). -

Research area: Law Language: German In a joint project with juris GmbH, the German Federal Ministry of Justice provides interested citizens free Internet access to nearly the entire body of Germany's current federal law. The current version of the laws and statutory regulations can be retrieved. They are continuously consolidated by the ministry's documentation service. All new provisions promulgated in the Federal Law Gazette Part I and not yet processed by the documentation service can be retrieved directly from the Legal Update Service. Enclosures, graphics, and other still missing parts of the laws and statutory regulations are being successively added. -
