The Book Citation Index contains over 40,000 (as per 2013) editorially selected scientific books (online and print editions) published since 2005 in a wide range of disciplines. 10,000 new titles are to be added each year, including volumes published as a series. As a module in the Web of Science Core Collection, the Book Citation Index adds over 13.5 million references to that collection. Among other things, it allows users to search for comprehensive bibliographic information and to display the accurate numbering of citations (in journals, conference papers, and books).

The site offers the archive data on 152 titles that have appeared with Brill Academic Publishers. The focus is on the humanities and the social sciences, international law, and selected areas in the natural sciences. Particular emphasis in the humanities lies on classical studies, theology and the history of religion, and the culture and history of the Near East.

Covers the proceedings of conferences, symposiums, seminars, workshops, and congresses worldwide. The "Cited Reference Search" tool allows users to identify the conference proceedings that were cited most frequently.

The site gives access to about 250 journals, which cover a broad spectrum of subjects in the humanities and the natural sciences. Most of the titles from the area of science, technology, and medicine (STM) date from 1998 onward. All backfiles are available for most of the titles in the humanities (H). All the journals have a one-year period between their latest issue available in JSTOR and their most recently published issue.

Drawing on the English Short Title Catalogue, the Eighteenth Century Collections Online offers access to more than 180,000 titles of books, pamphlets, essays, and broadsheets that appeared primarily in Great Britain. The e-book collection contains works on history, geography, the fine arts, the social sciences, language and literature, theology and philosophy, law, medicine, natural science, and technology. Nearly 40 million pages are available for full-text searches with simple and advanced search criteria.

Containing more than 500 million documents, Integrum World Wide is the largest full-text database of Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). The electronic full texts in Russian and English focus on the politics, culture, economy, and society of Russia and the CIS countries. The database contains materials such as hourly updates from the Russian and English press (regional and supraregional newspapers and journals as well as TV and radio monitoring services), statistics (Goskomstat), legal texts, government publications, letters patents (Rospatent), fiction, biographical databases of the Russian Academy of Sciences (INION), Internet sources, address and telephone books, and business directories (Yellow Pages).

JSTOR offers access to the full-text versions of predeminantly anglo-american journals starting with the first volume up to the so-called 'moving wall'. JSTOR is not a current issues database. Because of JSTOR's archival mission, there is a gap, typically from 1 to 5 years, between the most recently published journal issue and the content available in JSTOR. The WZB license agreement with JSTOR includes access to the following collections: The Arts & Sciences I Collection (119 titles), the Arts & Sciences II Collection (125 titles) and the Business Collection (47 titles).

The Making of Modern Law (MOML 1), by Thomson-Gale, facilitates extensive research on the modern legal system and its development in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Users can conduct full-text searches on more than 10 million pages from works about the American and British history of law that were published between 1800 and 1926. The material is indexed in a searchable presentation of 99 areas covering nearly all aspects of American and British law. The more than 21,000 works encompass case compilations, speeches, court books, pamphlets, and letters.

This site gives access to 1,740 titles and 1,850,000 pages with cases, statues, and regulations from U.S. legal history. This material is drawn from the Lillian Goldman Law Library at Yale University. The database has texts (e.g., proceedings and reports) from constitutional conventions; city charters and early U.S. state codes; law dictionaries; and records from the Primary Source Microfilm collection Published Records of the American Colonies. This important digital archive for the legal, cultural, and social history of the Anglo-American cultural space is searchable in full-text.

This full-text database comprises documents, reports, and literature on court proceedings in America, the British empire, and France from 1600 to 1926. It also contains spectacular court proceedings against historical figures and artists (e.g., Charles I., Oscar Wilde, Sacco and Vanzetti, and Joan of Arc) and other persons of note. The "unofficial published accounts of trials, official trial documents, briefs and arguments" are an important source of material for both legal and sociocultural history. More than 10,000 titles are available from the holdings of the Harvard and Yale law libraries, the library of the Bar of the City of New York, and the Law Library of Congress. Approximately 2 million pages are searchable in full-text.

This Thomson-Gale database permits extensive research on modern law and political changes in the United States from the perspective of the Supreme Court and the parties involved in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Users can conduct full-text searches of more than 350,000 records and court briefs from 150,000 cases that came before the Supreme Court between 1832 and 1978. Nearly all aspects of the rulings handed down by the Supreme Court during that period of American legal history are covered. In particular, the site contains primary documents on interpretations of the U.S. Constitution and its amendments, the part that the administration of justice has played in American history, state sovereignty, slavery, the government's role in wartime and peacetime, the free-market economy, the relation between management and organized labor, issues of discrimination and basic rights, the protection of intellectual property, environmental protection, public health, and the relation between race, gender, and social origin.

Oxford Journals belongs to Oxford University Press, the world's largest university publisher. The site encompasses 324 titles.

The HSS collection includes 196 journals about law, humanities and social sciences.

Periodicals Archive Online offers the back issues of electronic journals on culture, the humanities, and the social sciences. This resource encompasses more than 700 periodicals, totaling over 3 million articles (15 million pages). The license covers collections 1 through 6.

This index of historical periodicals facilitates bibliographical research in approximately 4,800 journals in the arts, humanities, and social science in one user interface. It covers the period from 1739 to 2000 and gives access to publications in over 37 specialized areas and more than 40 languages and dialects.

As a "newspaper documenting everything", the Times from London has been offering authoritative, award-winning coverage since 1785, information on parliamentary debates, critical interpretation of facts, and a unique historical insight into the views of major reporters and editions of the respective epoch. The Times Digital Archive is an unrivaled opportunity to explore the content of one of the most popular and most frequently cited daily newspapers - online and in the respective context of the original edition. Thanks to the full-text search and classification of each article, each issue can be searched through by keywords in the title or article text, author and subject categories. Afterwards, the article can be viewed completely and quickly on the screen as a full text or the whole page on which a requested article appears. In addition, it is possible to watch a certain issue of the newspaper from a particular day and "leaf through" it.

The U.S. Congressional Serial Set, 1817-1980, has 12 million digitized pages from 350,000 publications and 52,000 "serial set maps." The publications come from U.S. congressional committees and working groups and from other government authorities. The database thus offers an abundance of material on all areas of U.S. history, policy, economy, and culture. In many cases the scope broadens if relations with the United States are involved.
