Annotation:Vanity Fair was a humorous weekly published in New York in the 19th century. To my knowledge, it has no relation to the 20th-century Conde Nast publication, except for its name and its publication place. (The name was also the title of a famous Thackeray novel in the 1840s, and has been used for various magazines since then.)
