Rainer Forst appointed as „Corresponding Fellow“
The British Academy has appointed Rainer Forst as a "Corresponding Fellow".
This makes Forst, who is a WZB Research Professor of Political Theory, one of two Germans out of a group of 30 internationally renowned academics to hold an affiliation with the British Academy for life. In contrast to a "Fellow", who must be a British citizen, a "Corresponding Fellow" is an external member selected each year from the international scientific community based on outstanding achievements inside a field of research. Each year, the UK academy for the humanities and social sciences appoints a maximum of two scholars per discipline.
The British Academy currently has 1,141 members, 368 external members and 43 honorary members.
