Prof. Carola Frege, PhD
Carola Frege is a Professor of International Employment Relations in the Management Department at the LSE. During the last two years she was also the Chair of the 'Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Taskforce of the LSE and a member of the Director¹s Senior Management Team. Frege's previous research focused on trade union revitalization strategies and the transformation of workplace democracy and voice in Europe and the USA; job quality and wellbeing; as well as the social science traditions of labour and employment research. More recently she has focused on migration, diversity and racism at work.
She is the author of Employment Research and State Traditions (OUP), 'Social Partnership at Work: Workplace Relations in Post-Unification Germany (Routledge) and co-editor of Comparative Employment Relations in the Global Economy (Routledge) and Varieties of Unionism: Comparative Strategies for Union Renewal (OUP). Her work on comparative employment relations has appeared in journals such as American Sociological Review, Industrial and Labor Relations Review, British Journal of Industrial Relations, and Industrial Relations.
