Jana Pannier is a researcher and doctoral candidate at the WZB and at the Weizenbaum Institute for the Networked Society. She currently completes her M.A. in Sociology and Technology Studies at Technische Universität Berlin. Her research interests center on sociotechnical constellations in contexts of the use of digital technologies, in particular algorithmic information and decision-making systems. Her research is situated at the intersections of the sociology of technology, science and technology studies, critical algorithm studies, and practice theories. Formerly, she worked at the Weizenbaum Institute, at Freie Universität Berlin, and in a research group on machine learning in the tech industry.
