Önder Celik is an anthropologist and user experience researcher. He received his PhD degree from Johns Hopkins University and held positions at New York University, Humboldt University, Forum Transregionale Studien, and the Weizenbaum Institute. Prior to moving to the WZB, he worked as a strategy consultant at a boutique consulting firm that merges anthropology, data, and AI.

Önder’s work centers around understanding and developing insights on complex interactions between humans and algorithmic tools. He explores how the relationship between humans and AI systems opens up new spaces of possibilities, limitations, and friction.
