Dr. Rena Schwarting
Rena Schwarting works in the group "Politics of Digitalization" (POLDI). After studying sociology, political science and history in Osnabrück, Bielefeld, Alicante and Paris, she worked as a research fellow in the Faculty of Management and Economics at the University of Witten/Herdecke and at the Bielefeld University Faculty of Sociology.
Rena Schwarting received her doctorate in organization building and procedures of decision-making from the Bielefeld Graduate School in History and Sociology (BGHS). During her doctorate, she was a visiting scholar at the University of Chicago as part of the German-American Fulbright Program.
In addition to organizations, procedures and societal change, her current research focuses on the use and impact of quantitative data models in organizational decision-making.
Rena Schwarting also teaches in the module "Organization and Society" at the Institute for Sociology at the Technical University of Berlin.
