Ruta Yemane is a PhD student and research fellow at Wissenschaftszentrum für Sozialforschung, Berlin in the migration, integration and transnationalization research unit. She holds a BSc in Psychology from Hildesheim University and a MA in International Politics (Global Justice and Ethics) from Newcastle University.

Her research focuses on labor market discrimination, ethnic hierarchies and stereotypes. Most of her work relies on experimental methods, including field experiments. Previous work included research on ethnic discrimination in the German vocational market.
