CV

Setareh Radmanesch is pursuing her PhD at the Institute of Sociology at the Free University of Berlin. She studies how digitalization changes white collar work and the necessary conditions to establish decent work for employees and employers alike in Germany. Ms. Radmanesch studied Sociology and Philosophy at the Goethe University Frankfurt am Main and worked as a research and teaching assistant for Prof. Dr. Thomas Lemke and Prof. Dr. Frank Kleemann. She thereby acquired basic knowledge of empirical social research. During her three-year participation in the Hans-Böckler-Foundation’s research project „Lean im Büro – Neue Industrialisierungskonzepte für die Kopfarbeit und ihre Folgen für Arbeit und Beschäftigte“ (Lean in the Office – New Concepts of Industrialization for Mental Work and their Consequences for Work and Employees) at the Institute for Social Science Research Munich she deepened her knowledge in this field. Ms. Radmanesch based her Master’s thesis on the empirical findings of “Lean im Büro”. Her Master’s thesis, a business case study, is titled „Der Wandel der Angestelltenarbeit nach dem Einsatz von ,Lean im Büro‘ in einem traditionellen, deutschen Industrieunternehmen“ (The Change in White Collar Work after the Use of ‘Lean im Büro’ in a Traditional German Industrial Enterprise). Her research interest is the contemporary change of work in the context of digitalization.
