Short bio

Ulrike Muench is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center for Interdisciplinary Health Workforce Studies at Vanderbilt University. She is guest in the research groups Work and Care and Demography and Inequality. Dr. Muench’s research lies at the intersection of health police, nursing, and health care economics, and focuses on the health care workforce. She studies questions pertaining to gender inequality in the workplace, new models of health care delivery, health care provider behaviors and incentives, and comparative health care systems. During her stay at the WZB she will examine labor market outcomes of individuals who are non-traditional providers of care with the goal to contrast these outcomes across countries, specifically Europe and the U.S.
