Culture, Communication and Creativity
The aims of the conference will be to encourage reflection on general theoretical and cultural aspects of creativity, to discuss general recent theories of culture from different cultural backgrounds, and to relate both these issues to the changing role of communication, which is rarely respected within the study of culture and creativity. The focus here lies on the ways in which communication is transformed by the new media and created a new “communication culture”. Communication shall, therefore, function as a link between the notion of culture and creativity. Among the keynote speakers are Karin Knorr-Cetina, Celia Lury, and Andreas Reckwitz.
