Christin Jänicke
Christin Jänicke is a doctoral researcher at the Center for Civil Society Research in the project "Organized Civil Society and Far-Right Interventions". She is writing her dissertation at Freie University Berlin on how civil society deals with the far-right, with a focus on East Germany.
Before joining the WZB, she was a researcher at the Berlin School of Economics and Law, studying police responses to right-wing youth in the 1990s. She also was teaching at the Freie University and managed public relations for the Opferperspektive. While studying, she worked as a student assistant at the Emil Julius Gumbel Research Department which is part of the Moses Mendelssohn Center for European-Jewish Studies at the University of Potsdam.
She has also been working in civic youth and adult education for several years.
