Transformations of Democracy

Daniel Meißner is a predoctoral research fellow in the Transformations of Democracy department (formerly a student assistant) and a guest researcher in the Waves of Regime Transformation group. After a dual degree in industrial engineering, he studied Philosophy & Economics (B.A.) in Bayreuth and Public Economics (M.Sc.) at Freie Universität Berlin. His work includes research on different understandings of democracy and their link to political attitudes. More broadly, his research interests lie at the intersection of political economy, democracy research, and public economics.
