Emily Steinhäuser studied law at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität in Munich and the University of Cambridge, completing her First State Examination in 2024. She subsequently worked at the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs on issues related to skilled immigration. She also completed a Master’s degree in Migration and Diaspora Studies at SOAS University of London in 2025. During and after her studies, she focused in particular on questions related to gender, migration, and their legal and social framing and implementation.
