Dr. Fabio Ellger

I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the new Transformations of Democracy Unit led by Daniel Ziblatt. Prior to joining the WZB, I completed my PhD at the Chair of Comparative Political Behavior at Humboldt University Berlin. I also graduated from the doctoral graduate program DYNAMICS, jointly organized by Humboldt University Berlin and the Hertie School.

I am interested in Comparative Politics and Political Behavior in established democracies. In my research, I utilize quantitative analyses, experiments, or design-based inference to investigate questions connected to representation, participation, and polarization. I also enjoy teaching classes on political behavior, research design, or applied research methods and have done so at Humboldt University and Hertie School in Berlin.
