Gaia Ghirardi, Ph.D.
Gaia Ghirardi is a postdoctoral researcher in the Research Department Skill Formation and Labor Market and at the Einstein Center for Population Diversity (project: “Evaluating the Relation between Family Diversity and Educational Inequalities”). Her research focuses on social stratification, sociogenomics, and educational and health inequalities. Gaia Ghirardi defended her PhD thesis entitled “Interaction between family socioeconomic status and genotype in the intergenerational transmission of educational and health inequalities” at the European University Institute (EUI) in Florence. Previously, she was a doctoral student at the EUI and a postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Statistical Sciences at the University of Bologna, as part of the GENPOP ERC project.
