Gary Goertz, professor at the Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies at the University of Notre Dame, was a guest of the WZB unit Global Government from July until mid-August in 2014. His research focuses on international conflict, conflict management, and peace, at the time working on the Causes of Peace project, which explores the rise of peace in the international system. During his stay, he worked on his book on the evolution of regional economic institutions and their involvement in conflict management. He also collaborated with the project group Contested World Orders, as well as providing feedback on its international authority database.
