Nora Chirikure

Nora Chirikure is a Doctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Institutions and Political Inequality. She holds an MSc in Economics and Management Science from Humboldt University in Berlin and a BSc in Liberal Arts and Sciences, specializing in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics, from Erasmus University in Rotterdam. Her research focuses on inclusive governance strategies that promote social cohesion and government accountability, the role of free media in challenging government narratives, and how local institutions and collective action can address challenges related to urban commons. Through her work, she aims to generate insights that inform both policy and practice. Nora's current projects are based in Lebanon and Zimbabwe. In addition to her research, she serves as a member of the Ethics Committee at the WZB.
