Prof. Sidney Tarrow

Sidney G. Tarrow is the Emeritus Maxwell M. Upson Professor of Government at Cornell University. During his two weeks stay in the Global Governance Unit of the WZB, he gave a distinguished Lecture on “Critical Junctures and Institutional Spillover – How 9/11 is Changing the American State” on 4 October 2016 and presented in the unit’s colloquium. He is author of numerous publications. His recent books are Contentious Politics (with Charles Tilly; Oxford, 2015) and War, States, and Contention (Cornell, 2015).
