Lianara Dreyer is a sociologist with a focus on technology, work, and organization. Her research investigates the interactions, scope and consequences of digitalization processes. Since September 2022, she has been a member of the doctoral program 'Good Work in a Transformative World' at the WZB. Her dissertation, 'Digitalization in the craft sector,' examines changes in working practices within craft enterprises and how the introduction of digital technologies is affecting both work and employees. A qualitative approach is used, combining case studies in craft enterprises with expert interviews.

Lianara Dreyer holds a Master's degree in sociology with a focus on the sociology of technology and organization from RWTH Aachen University. She completed her Bachelor's degree in social sciences with business administration at the University of Cologne. During her studies, Lianara gained experience in project monitoring for international funding projects and worked in a consultancy firm for small and medium-sized enterprises.
