Dr. Lisa Hahn

Lisa Hahn is a postdoctoral researcher in the project „Supporting the Expansion and Quality Development of Early Childhood Education and All-Day Care for Primary School Children“.

After studying law in Berlin and Istanbul, she devoted her interdisciplinary doctorate to strategic human rights litigation as a tool for access to justice. As a visiting scholar at the Center for the Study of Law & Society at UC Berkeley (USA), she conducted research on legal mobilization by social movements. Most recently, she was a deputy professor of Public Law with a focus on Social Welfare and Education Law at the University of Hildesheim.

Her research focuses on interdisciplinary public law and encompasses social rights (social law, anti-discrimination law, migration law), access to justice and legal mobilization (individual/collective/alternative) as well as socio-legal research methods. Her current research project focuses on social rights across the life course, particularly in childhood, adolescence, and old age.
