Teresa Völker is a PhD researcher at the Center for Civil Society Research in a project on protest and radicalization in Germany under the direction of Prof. Dr. Edgar Grande and Prof. Dr. Swen Hutter. In her PhD she investigates the mainstreaming of the far-right and the effects of Islamist and right-wing violence on public debates in Germany. Methodologically, she works with quantitative (network analysis, text as data) and qualitative approaches.
Previously she has worked as a researcher and project manager at the Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society (HIIG) and graduated with a Master of Arts in Social Sciences from the Humboldt University and King’s College London. She completed her BA in Political Science, Sociology and Media and Communication at Heinrich-Heine University Düsseldorf and Università degli Studi di Milano.
