Jana Heim
Jana Heim is a research associate at the WZB Berlin Social Science Center and the Weizenbaum Institute. Her research lies at the intersection of organisation studies and science and technology studies. She conducts qualitative research on how AI systems are evaluated, negotiated, and accounted for in knowledge-intensive work in public and private sector organisations. She holds an MA (with distinction) in Sociology and Technology Studies from Technical University of Berlin and a BA from University of Heidelberg. She co-founded the Research in Practice network and workshop series for qualitative research, affiliated with the Weizenbaum Methods Lab. Prior to joining the WZB and the Weizenbaum Institute, she worked in AI research and development in the software sector.
