Workshop: Women and Work in the 21st Century

On September 11–12, 2025, an international workshop on “Women and Work in the 21st Century” will take place at the WZB Berlin Social Science Center. Organized by Nicola Fuchs-Schündeln, Felix Holub, Jonas Jessen, and Anne Sophie Lassen, the workshop brings together senior and junior economists to discuss current research on gender disparities in knowledge-intensive occupations. Over two days, presentations will explore various dimensions of labor market outcomes, career development, and workplace experiences, drawing on a range of disciplinary perspectives and research approaches. This event marks the first in a series of activities supported by a grant from the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space.
